Worldwide Week of water is a forum organized by Stockholm international institute of water (SIWI ), it gets together more than 2000 politics, businessmen, public figures, and experts in water service and water purification from 130 countries.One of stately moments of the forum program is the ceremony of Stockholm Water Prize delivery. In 2011 it is given to Steven Russel Carpenter, professor of zoology and limnology from University of Wisconsin Madison (USA) for the investigations in the field of lake ecosystems and for the development of solutions for sustainable use of water resources, writes AquaExpert.ru.
In this year it is offered to participants of a meeting to pay special attention on problems of management, safety and access to a qualitative water in conditions of a fast global urbanization and growing city infrastructure.
