Feb 14, 2012, the China State Top Science and Technology Award Ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chairman Hu Jintao issued the state top science & technology award to Academy Xie Jialin and Wu Liangyong, and the Gree’s research and application of the key technology for the inverter air conditioner was honored the China National Science & Technology Progress Award, which is the only air con manufacturer that received this grand honor.
