The program for energy conservation is successfully implemented in Ishim. Within the framework of the program street lighting control cabinets were installed. Conventional meters were replaced with the three tariff ones which measure peak, semipeak and evening rates.
Deputy Director of Utility Engineering Networks Ivan fibrils said that it provided a 20% reduction in electricity consumption. In addition new elektric timers were installed that regulate the time of street lighting. In residential areas the light is switched off from 1:00 to 5:00 in the morning.
As a result electricity consumption decreased by 143 393 kW in March 2012 compared to same period of 2011.
