The schoolchildren will be taught to save energy in the Tyumen region. Director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Tyumen region Perevalov Pavel said that the energy saving program should not be limited by technical measures only. According to Mr. Perevalov the program would really work if the mentality of homeowners was changed and they were taught to save resources.
In order to form a caring attitude to the use of energy a course "Using energy-efficient and energy saving technologies and equipment in the industrial sector and in private life" was introduced in the schools of the Tyumen region. In 2010-2011 22 thousand pupils passed this training.
According to the Director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Tyumen region the regional competition "The best public sector organization conducting energy conservation measures" was planned for 2012the winners of which would receive grants.
