Energy consumption in Moscow has reduced by 11%

Energy consumption in Moscow has reduced by 11% since 2009 due to energy saving measures, according to the materials for the meeting of the government of the capital on Tuesday.
"Reducing consumption of electricity in 2011 compared to 2009 was - 7% of thermal energy - 13% of cold water - 11%, gas - 13%", - stated in the documents.
Last year, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that he considered it necessary to encourage investment in energy sector and the development of energy-saving technologies, provided that the stability of the tariff policy. At the same time at the federal level, the decision not to raise tariffs in the first half of 2012. According to the Moscow authorities, utility rates will increase only in Moscow on July 1 and September 1, 2012, but growth will be minimal.
