Department of Transport in Moscow sued the supplier of buses due to faulty air conditioners and disruption of delivery schedules, Gazeta.ru reports citing the press service of the Department. The claim is brought against Company "Likinsky Bus Plant" and "Russian Buses - GAZ Group" in the amount of 263 million rubles.
In late May it became clear that the new air-conditioned buses have serious defect - hot air is coming inside instead of cool air. Reporters learned that the disadvantages of the buses had been trying to repair using conventional foam, NEWSmsk writes. Deputy Head of the Transport Department Bestsenko Kirill said that more than a thousand buses had beem repaired. The drivers pointed to other weaknesses of the new vehicles. Representatives of the manufacturer acknowledged some shortcomings but some defects had been said to appear because of the wrong operation.
Claims for a penalty were brought against both companies on July 15. Previously Department Head Maxim Liksutov noted that all comments relating to the operation of air conditioners in buses had been taken into account, the defects had been corrected and penalties had been brought against the supplier.
