Ariston has supplied 109 high efficiency CLAS HE condensing boilers as part of the refurbishment of Ferrier Point which, at 23-storeys high is the tallest council tower block in the London Borough of Newham. This £8.5 million project is part of the London Borough of Newham’s £3.7 billion regeneration of Canning Town and Custom House.
To bring the accommodation up to the Decent Homes Standard, the flats were fitted with new heating systems and tenants were able to choose new kitchens and bathrooms. Energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint were at the heart of improvements. The Ariston boilers will make a significant contribution to reducing both gas and electricity usage, as they supply space and water heating, replacing the existing non-condensing boilers and immersion heaters.

The CLAS HE Boilers from Ariston were chosen and procured directly by the London Borough of Newham Council in conjunction with main contractor Rydon Homes, and sub-contractor, STV Building Services Ltd. The CLAS HE boilers were selected on the basis of energy efficiency, cost, Ariston’s after sales service and comprehensive five year guarantee. The boilers were installed at the same time as the kitchen refurbishment and were an integral part of the fitments.

The CLAS HE model’s fanned flue enables ease of installation within the kitchen, and these boilers offer a wide range of options and flue pipe accessories to accommodate almost any situation encountered during the fit-out.

Ariston’s CLAS HE range of ultra-efficient, fully condensing wall hung boilers, feature SEDBUK Band A rating and best-in-class NOx emissions, with efficiencies of up to 90%. The range comprises three models – combi, system and regular – with outputs in all types ranging from 12kW to 38kW. All the boilers use a proven stainless steel heat exchanger and feature an innovative AUTO Function temperature management system, designed to achieve energy savings in excess of 10%, when used in conjunction with additional controls.
