The MicroFire, with its flame effect, accompanied Pulp on their 23-date tour around Europe and Australia in 2011 to create a 70’s-inspired bedsit for the band’s set design.
According to the company, frontman Jarvis Cocker rejected many portable heaters before deciding the MicroFire was the one.
Karen Trewick, marketing communications manager for Dimplex, said: “We were so pleased and excited to see the Dimplex MicroFire on stage with Pulp. We are all fans of the band and Jarvis Cocker, and it is great to hear that he personally chose our product to accompany the band throughout their tour.”
