Bosch Solar Energy AG attended this year's “European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition” (EU PVSEC) with several new product highlights in its module portfolio.

Bosch Solar Energy is using the EU PVSEC, which ran from 5 to 9 September 2011 in Hamburg, to premiere products like a new crystalline module consisting of sixty high-performance monocrystalline cells. This module offers over 260 watts of output and an efficiency rating of 15.84 percent. These characteristics have been verified by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg, Germany.

The performance improvements come thanks to several key success factors: first, the panel contains the latest generation of Bosch solar cells based on a selective emitter. In addition, the optical and electrical losses are reduced by the use of a 'light harvesting string' as well as by further optimized components.

The high-performance modules are expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year.
