On Tuesday 19 June at 9.30 in the morning the Commissioner for Energy, GUENTHER OETTINGER, performed the HIGH LEVEL OPENING of the EU's Sustainable Energy Policy Conference in the European Commission's Charlemagne building, next door to the Commission's main Berlaymont building.
Other important speakers represented the different EU institutions and industry. They gave their insight into recent developments regarding renewable energy sources, and energy efficiency and technology. Industry representatives presented sustainable energy as a business opportunity conducive to job creation and economic growth.
The deputy Director-General of the Commission's DG Energy, Fabrizio Barbaso presided over this event.
