Samruk-Green Energy LLP, part of Samruk-Energo, and German KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH have signed a memorandum of cooperation on renewable energy to build wind power farms in Kazakhstan.
The project entails building small-capacity 300 W-7,000 W wind turbines designed to work in wind speeds as low as 2 mps in the Innovative Technologies Park SEZ (free economic zone).
KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau will assist in engaging highly qualified international experts, conducting industrial research and training technical personnel in Germany. "The project will add to SEZ's innovation contribution," Samruk-Green Energy said in a press release.
KD Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH has more than 20-year experience in metal processing, turnkey project management and renewable technologies.
JSC Samruk-Energo, organized in 2007, is part of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna, focuses on generation, distribution and sales of electricity and heat and coal mining.
