On 1 October 2012, TROX GmbH plans to acquire the Building Fan Division of TLT-Turbo GmbH, a subsidiary company of Siemens AG, in Bad Hersfeld. The Building Fan Division will be a completely owned subsidiary company of TROX GmBH under the name of TROX TLT GmbH in future. About 170 employees in Bad Hersfeld will be taken on within the new company. The other TLT product divisions with about 330 employees will remain in the Siemens Group as TLT-Turbo GmbH. The contracts were signed on 6 September.

The new company TROX TLT GmbH develops, produces, and sells energy-efficient ventilation and smoke extraction fans for installation in many building applications including airports, shops, underground garages, hotels, industrial buildings, meeting places, and general infrastructure.

"With this acquisition, we are consistently following the strategic alignment of the TROX GROUP as a complete supplier of air handling components and systems," Chairman of the TROX Board of Management Lutz Reuter says, explaining the reasons for transaction. Due to the powerful international sales organisation of the TROX GROUP, the TROX TLT business shall be expanded internationally in successive steps.

Udo Jung, Divisional Manager for Building Fans of TLT-Turbo GmbH in Bad Hersfeld, is pleased about the new owner: "Due to the product portfolio, quality, corporate culture, and customer group, both companies fit together excellently. This strategic acquisition of TROX gives us direction, both in the development of new products and the opening of new markets, thus contributing to securing jobs."

In future, the products of the new TROX TLT GmbH will be marketed under the following logo, both nationally and internationally.
