In October 2011 DISCOVERY Research Group agency completed a study of the Russian air conditioners market. During the first seven months of 2011 42.5 thousand air conditioners were produced in Russia, it is by 15% more than in the same period last year. In general, it should be noted that very few companies are engaged in the production of air conditioners in Russia, and it is basically  a secondary activity for them, writes "RBK. Markets Research."

During this period, Russia imported 3.18 million air conditioners of all types with the total value $944.5 million, the bulk of imports are room air conditioners. Leading air conditioners import group is a "split system" type.
