"ELSO EGM Energogazmontage" Ltd. (a part of ELSO Group, one of the most powerful holdings in the heat engineering market) which specializes in a full range of services for design and construction of private boilers and mini power plants, including obtaining the final package licenses.The company has completed the work package at installation of a roof gas boiler station and gas pipeline for a new hotel Four Seasons in Saint Petersburg. The hotel is situated in a historic building known as House of Lobanov-Rostovsky. The House is situated on the 12 Admiralteisky Avenue and is an architectural monument of high classicism. An early work of the architect A.A. Montferrand, it was constructed in 1817-1820 for Prince A.Y. Lobanov-Rostovsky. The triangular building faces Admiralteisky Avenue, Voznesensky Avenue and St. Isaac's Square, remaining an important element of the ensemble of central squares. The main facade, facing the Admiralty, is adorned with an eight-columned portico; white marble figures of lions (sculptor P. Triscorni), immortalised in the poem "The Bronze Horseman" by Alexander Pushkin, are located on both sides of the central arch.
The renovation project was fulfilled by a developer company "Tristar Investment Holdings'. The new Four Seasons St. Petersburg hotel will have 183 rooms with a minimal square 42 m2 including Presidential Suite with a total square more than 240 m2. There will be two restaurants and SPA in the hotel as well.
The ELSO specialists designed and installed three Viessmann (Germany) Vitoplex boilers: two 300 ТX3 1750 kW; one 1400 kW, completed with three Weishaupt burners with noise-insulating housing.
The total boiler capacity makes 4900 kW. The heating system has one direct heating circuit
The walls and a ceiling of the boiler room were covered with noise-insulating panels, the noise supressors were installed at chimneys and burners. These measures helped to reduce background noise by 20–25 dB.
The ELSO specialists created the heat supply of the first category. A distinctive technological feature of the gas supply is two middle pressure gas pipelines which receive gas from two independent city gas pipelines and two gas distribution cabinets for reliable gas supply. It was not easy to line a pipe down the Saint Isaac's Square which is situated in the city center.
