In the middle of summer 2011 the plant Midea got new conformance certificate ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The ISO 14000 addresses various aspects of environmental management and deal with environmental management systems (EMS).

The basic requirements:

environmental policy;

planning for deployment;

systems and work processes;

monitoring and corrective action;

management review.

An EMS meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 is a management tool enabling an organization of any size or type to:

Identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services;

Improve its environmental performance continually:

Implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, to achieving these and to demonstrating that they have been achieved.

OHSAS 18001:2007 is the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. One element of the OHSAS 18000 series is OHSAS 18001 ‘Management system of occupational safety and health. Specification’. OHSAS 18001 is universal and can be applied to all types of organizations and companies because it is independent of industry and economy.
