Queen of Denmark openeding of the second stage of Grundfos plant
The Queen examined the assembly lines of the world's biggest pump manufacturer and together with Grundfos CEO & Group President Carsten Bjerg cut the symbolic ribbon.
'Denmark is an acknowledged leader in the energy saving area. We are grateful to Her Majesty the Queen and the Danish government for the support of energy saving ideas which underlying the Grundfos production', Mr. Bjerg said.
The investment volume makes up 80 million euro. The total Grundfos investment volume in Russia makes up 100 million euro. Answering the question about capital investment recoupment terms Mr. Knud Krægpøth, Senior Vice President, assured that the company has a complete confidence concerning the Russian manufacturing investment profitability.
'When we take an investment decision we assume the term of 10-15 years, GRUNDFOS General Director in Russia Victor Dementev said. Our investments in the first plant stage have already paid off'.
The first stage of Grundfos plant which in Istra was completed in 2005, the second stage is completed in 2011. New plant capacities, warehouse and administrative buildings were erected. The total factory square is today 30.000 sq. m.
GRUNDFOS equipment can be used in almost all branches: heating systems, water supply systems, industrial facilities and individual homes. The experts estimate the share of the company on the Russian market about 18-19%. The expected turnover for 2011 makes 200 million euro. About 30% of all pumps which are being sold in Russia are manufactured in this plant.
