Surgutneftegas implements a program of energy efficiency and introduces energy-efficient technologies in the Tyumen region. In 2011 573 MW of electricity consumption power was saved, that is 343 million kW / h. The main thing in energy efficiency is the development of its own electric power industry. With 19 gas-turbine power plants and 7 gas-piston power plants of the company the volume of electricity production was increased by 16% to 4.2 billion kW / h.
