Dutch system of energy conservation
Seversk Pipe Factory, an affiliate of Russia's largest pipe manufacturer TMK (RTS: TRMKG) started a pilot project for the implementation of energy conservation policy according to the the Dutch system. As the Office of Press and Information of the Sverdlovsk region, the project is part of the Agreement between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Netherlands Agency for Energy, Energy Agency of the Russian Federation, the Government of Sverdlovsk region.
"The Seversk Pipe Factory (part of TMK) began scanning the energy potential of the company in order to identify bottlenecks and make recommendations for more efficient use of energy at Seversk," - the Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk region, Vladislav Pinaev said.
He clarified that the study will continue until June 2013. After the project, the data can be used in other industrial enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region, and in the housing sector.
Also, according to the program of social economic development of the Sverdlovsk region in 2011-2015 there is a plan to improve the energy efficiency of enterprises. The energy intensity of the economy of the region by the year 2015 should be reduced by 13.6%.
